Mike retired from a career as a corporate attorney with a practice in transactions and antitrust. After retooling his skills with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Humanities, he set about rediscovering his world through writing with an emphasis on the environment and social justice. His works of short fiction and narrative non-fiction have appeared in works as diverse as Cirque: A Literary Journal for the North Pacific Rim, Catamaran Literary Reader, Mobius: The Journal of Social Change, The Copperfield Review, Gadfly Online, Scholars & Rogues, Dr. T. J. Eckleburg Review, Work Literary Magazine, Rain Magazine, and North Coast Squid Magazine, to name a few. He lives with his wife on the Oregon Coast.
